Norse paganism

Mjolnir pendants
Mjolnir pendants were used in Norwegian rituals since the Viking age. They were used as amulets to increase courage, strength and power. Pendants were also associated with a number of other symbols, such as the hammer and the cross.
The Viking-age gravesites are where the most famous Mjolnir examples have been discovered. These amulets were worn by both men & women. They were also used in the marriage and birth ceremonies.
Draugr
The draugr played a role in Norse rituals and myths. They were supernatural beings, who offered explanations for the mysteries that people didn’t understand. They served as warnings to people, encouraging them to be good. The names of these creatures were derived from the word draag, which means "grinder."
It was believed that the draugr would wander off after someone died. Many precautions were taken to prevent the dead wandering after a death. Those buried in mounds, for example, were at risk of being turned into draugr.
Haugbui
The ghost or spectre of the haugbui is often seen as evil or restless and returning to haunt those who live. Haugbui may also refer to a demon. These spirits are often associated with the dead and protect burial sites. They can be described as powerful demons seeking to prolong life. Haugbui act as guardians for ritual pieces.
The term Haugbui is often associated with vampires, but is not exclusive to this genre. A character from the Hrolfs saga named Bjorn, a cave bear, is also associated with the Haugbui. He is believed to be able and able to control the thoughts of bears.
Temple in Uppsala
Adam mentions the Norse temple of Uppsala and the sacred grove near it. But he doesn't give any details about the temple or the rituals it was used for. He mentions statues of Odin, Thor, and Freyr and an open-air sanctuary, where officiants could draw upon elemental powers.
Adam's account of Uppsala is the most detailed yet. However, details regarding the Norse cult are still disputed. The archaeological evidence for Uppsala is steadily growing over the past three decades. Excavations at Uppsala include grave fields, settlements, and different types of workshops, indicating that Uppsala was an important Viking town. Even though Adam's account relies heavily on mythology for much of it, we can still see how the temple was important to Christianity as well.
