Ares is one of the Greek gods, and he is the first son of Zeus and Hera. While he isn't favored by his parents nor any of the other gods he loves, Aphrodite is his closest and most faithful lover. The god is often associated with war and violence in all of its ugly forms. He is associated with violence, blood, indiscriminate killing and the destruction or life.
