religions in india by state

There are many things you need to know about religions. There are four major religions: Christianity, Islam, Judaism and Hinduism. Each one worships a different god, but they all share the same God. We will be taking a look at some these religions and their Gods in this article.

Hinduism

Many gods are found in the Hindu religion. Many of them are minor gods that are assimilated into a central pantheon. Hanuman, for instance, appears in Ramayana as Rama’s assistant during the battle of Lanka. He is the son of Shiva and Parvati. Ganesha is an elephant-headed god and is known to be the remover all obstacles. His worship is required at the beginning and end of major projects.

Islam

Islam says that there are many gods. These immortal beings are the link between God and humanity. They sent messengers, such as the angel Gabriel, to convey God's message to the prophet Muhammad. As such, angels are not subject to the power of unbelief.

Judaism

Judaism is a religion that worships God. The Jews believed that God existed and made a binding agreement with him to follow the laws he provided. Jewish people strive to live by the law's spirit and letter, but also to do the best for God. The Jewish religion teaches that holiness should be incorporated into all aspects of one's life. They strive to honor God's work and glorify God.

Christianity

Christians claim the Bible only refers to one God. But some believe the Bible is filled with multiple gods. This misunderstanding is a common one. For instance, the Bible does not say there are three gods; it just says that God exists in three different persons. Some Christians believe there are three gods.

Sikhs

Sikhs believe there is a multitude of gods that assist us in daily life. They are not all the same, and they believe that each person's actions will have an effect on the next person. Sikh beliefs also emphasize doing good deeds even after death. Today there are approximately 700,000 Sikhs living in America. Most of them come from India. In America, Sikhs usually gather to worship at a gurdwara on Sunday, although there are also formal services on Wednesday and Friday.

Buddhism

Buddhism is often referred to in the West as an "atheistic", but that does not necessarily mean it is without deities. It is a belief that there are many gods to assist people in daily living. These deities can be a mixture of many forces in nature, but they all have a purpose.
